This policy explains how Equip collects, uses, and protects your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988.

1. Who we are

Equip is an AI-powered deal intelligence platform for B2B sales teams. It is operated by Luke Sharpe, sole trader (ABN registered), based in Australia. This policy covers all personal information collected through the Equip platform and related services.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and company name. This information is provided directly by you during registration.

Billing information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. Equip does not store your card number, expiry date, or CVC. We receive limited billing details from Stripe (such as the last four digits of your card and billing address) to display in your account settings.

Usage data

We collect data about how you use Equip, including pages visited, features used, deal data you enter, and AI queries you make. This helps us improve the product and provide better insights.

Integration data

If you connect Google Calendar or Gmail via OAuth, Equip accesses calendar events and email metadata relevant to your deals. This integration is optional and requires your explicit consent. You can disconnect these integrations at any time.

Device and technical data

We collect standard technical information through server logs, including IP address, browser type, and device type. This data is used for security, debugging, and service improvement.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve the Equip service
• Process payments via Stripe
• Generate AI-powered deal intelligence using the Anthropic API
• Send transactional emails (account notifications, billing receipts) via Resend
• Provide customer support

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data to train AI models.

4. Third-party services and data sharing

Equip uses the following third-party services to operate. Each service has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data:

• Stripe — Payment processing. Card and billing data is handled directly by Stripe.
• Anthropic — AI processing. Deal data is sent to Anthropic’s API to generate insights. Anthropic’s commercial API terms include zero-data-retention — your data is not stored by Anthropic or used for model training.
• Google — OAuth authentication and optional Calendar/Gmail integration.
• Vercel — Application hosting.
• Neon — PostgreSQL database hosting.
• Resend — Transactional email delivery.

No data is shared with advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers managed by Neon (database, hosted in AWS Asia Pacific, Sydney, Australia) and Vercel (application). We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only.

6. Data retention

• Account data is retained while your account is active.
• After account deletion, your data is removed within 30 days.
• Billing records are retained for 5 years as required by Australian tax law.

7. Your rights

Under Australian privacy law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for optional integrations (Google Calendar/Gmail) at any time

8. Cookies

Equip uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. These cookies are necessary for the service to function and cannot be disabled.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We’ll notify you of material changes via email at least 30 days before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
